Client vs. research supplier relationship

Regular Quirk’s contributor Brett Hagins sent me an amusing YouTube video that lampoons the state of the research client vs. research supplier relationship. The video is clearly from a supplier’s point of view as it pokes fun at the many frustrations they must feel when attempting to fill the wants and needs of their prospective clients, especially in trying economic times.

In addition to eliciting some hearty laughs, the video also reminded me of why Quirk’s was founded – to help inform and educate client-side researchers on the methodologies and techniques of good research. Perhaps this video demonstrates that we need to do more education – specifically on the protocols of requesting RFPs!

It also made me wonder what a similar video from the client’s perspective would look like!

Enjoy the video and remember, it’s just in fun!
